• Participants in Iran-Africa Economic Cooperation Conference Visit ISTT

A number of the participating authorities in the third Iran-Africa Economic Cooperation Conference paid a visit to ISTT and IRIS and got familiar with the potentials and capabilities of these organizations. The Sudanese Minister of Industry, the heads of Zimbabwe Chamber of Commerce and Namibia Chamber of Commerce, leading a delegation of African traders and businesspeople, were among the delegation visiting ISTT and a number of its k-based Companies.  

Ms. Mahasin Ali Yagoub, the Sudanese Minister of Industry, focused his visit on companies specializing in medical equipment and healthcare technologies within the ISTT. Additionally, the Presidents of the Namibian and Zimbabwean Chambers of Commerce were introduced to the activities of the ISTT and the IRIS Center. The delegation also toured a selection of companies operating in diverse sectors.

Ms. Mahasin Ali Yagoub expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Iran and the ISTT. she stated, "The Iranian Ambassador to Sudan had previously highlighted ISTT's potential and the capabilities of its resident companies."

She emphasized, "Iran's scientific and technological prowess is substantial, and we anticipate forging new collaborative partnerships with this nation."

The heads of the Zimbabwe and Namibia National Chambers of Commerce mentioned that the visit has showcased Iran's significant scientific and technological capacities, while they referred to their already established collaborations in agriculture and pharmaceuticals. They further added that there are considerable scope for expanded commercial and economic cooperation between Iran and African countries including Zimbabwe and Namibia.
